Biography

Melissa graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Journalism/Photojournalism studying with Donna Schwartz (www.donaschwartz.com). She moved to NYC where she interned as a photographer/bw printer at the Village Voice under the great photo editor/photographer Meg Handler. She continued her education completing an MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in Film Directing. Melissa currently is part of a team with an International NGO Humanitarian organization that sends her on amazing assignments around the world to document the work with video and photography ethical storytelling skills.
