Bio

Melissa Cooperman holds an MFA from New York University Tisch School of the Arts in Film and received her undergraduate at the University of Minnesota in Journalism specializing in photojournalism. She came to film after working in New York as a freelance photojournalist for magazines. Melissa has recently moved to the NH Seacoast area where she is currently teaching Film and Video Production at Franklin Pierce College. She is also in post production on her short documentary Super 16mm film about the Sunbonnet Quilters in the Catskill Mountains which has been awarded an O'Connor Foundation matching grant this Summer 2006. She enjoys documenting weddings, mitzvahs and creating naturalistic child portraiture as well reflecting her own interest in watching families grow over the years like her own three children and husband that now call Exeter, NH their new home.
